It's just 3 weeks until the British Touring Car action gets underway again - and it can't come soon enough.

Fantasy BTCC is back for the umpteenth year, and is now ready for your entries. It's a good time to create your team and pick your driver line-up for the opening round from Donington Park.

You can change your driver selections as often as you like right up until the start of qualifying on Saturday 22nd April.

I have a 2008 BTCC Vauxhall Vectra VXR model that needs a new home. I am going to offer it as a prize to whoever wins this league!

So all of those Matt Neal fans out there that would like a 1:43 model to add to their collection, get entering!

There’s a reason why I’ve been running these competitions for so bloody long. I can’t bring myself to stop. So there WILL be a Fantasy BTCC competition here next year.

A big thank you to those that have been in touch recently. Your words of support and encouragement have helped me come to this inevitable conclusion.

The scores and league tables have been updated with the results of todays racing from Brands Hatch.

Top of the class today was Richard Edwards. Richard added 985 points to his teams tally and finishes 2022 on a high, improving 42 positions to finish on a season high of 44th position.

With such a strong lead going in to the final round it's no surprise to see Graham Guest hold out for the major spoils of 2023. Congragulations Graham - a convincing victory and worthy winner.

Congratulations also to our 2022 runner up Alan Davis and the gallant third place of Andy Jones.

A huge thank you to those of you that joined in with FantasyBTCC over the years (in various guises!). It's been almost 20 years in the making but sadly, as recently announced, there are no plans to return in 2023.

It's been a pleasure to run and I will certainly miss it next year. Fingers crossed it can return again one day. Be sure to follow @btcc_fantasy on Twitter - any future plans for the competition will be posted there.
