Another vacant slot has been filled today as BTC Racing announce Jason Plato as their third driver, which completes the teams line-up for the 2022 season.

Jason is now available for selection in your Fantasy BTCC teams.

A couple of folk have asked how the prices for the drivers have been calculated. Here's the low-down...

The driver values used for this competition are based solely on the Fantasy BTCC points scored by that driver in previous races / events, some going back as far as 2004!

Any new drivers to the series are added at a cost of 1.25 (2.50 for Contructor entries) and any adjustments from that value are based entirely on a mathematical formula.

The prices are not neccesarily an indication of how the driver will do, nor how I think they'll do. The idea of this game is to pick drivers who you think will return a better haul of points than their value suggests.

Bobby Thompson (Autobrite Direct with Team HARD) and Jack Butel (Excelr8 with TradePriceCars.com) have been added to the drivers list and are now available for selection.

With the recent additions of Rick Parfitt Jr. and Michael Crees, the Fantasy BTCC grid is 21 drivers strong already.

The season kicks off with Donington Park next month, so why not start drafting in your drivers for the 2022 campaign. You can change your drivers as often as you like between now and then, and if you enter now at least you won't forget!

If you know of anybody else that may be interested in playing along please point them here. There were a record 1172 entries last year, it would be great to improve on that this year.

Some of the drivers have even played along themselves in the past. If you can't beat them on the track why not try and beat them here?
